Rendering Ad Variations

How Sovran renders all permutations of your modular sequences.

How Rendering Works

When you click "Render All" on a sequence, Sovran:

  1. Calculates all permutations — Every unique combination of assets across blocks.
  2. Queues render jobs — Each permutation × each aspect ratio becomes a render job.
  3. Renders in the cloud — Videos are rendered server-side so your browser isn't tied up.
  4. Delivers finished files — Rendered videos appear in your project's asset library, ready to download or publish.

Tracking Progress

The sequence page shows real-time render progress:

  • Total jobs queued vs. completed
  • Per-variation status (queued, rendering, complete, failed)
  • Estimated time remaining

You can safely close the browser tab — rendering continues in the background. Come back any time to check progress.

File Naming

Each rendered video is named using the token pattern you configured. For example, with the pattern {hook}-{body}-{cta}-{ratio}, a file might be named:

hook-unboxing-body-demo-cta-discount-9x16.mp4

This makes it easy to identify which creative elements are in each file, both in Sovran and in Meta Ads Manager.

After Rendering

Once all variations are rendered, you can:

  • Download individual files or bulk-download as a ZIP.
  • Publish to Meta — Push rendered videos directly to your Meta ad account. See Publishing to Meta.
  • Preview any variation in the browser before publishing.
