Building a Sequence

Step-by-step guide to creating a sequence and assigning assets to blocks.

Step 1: Create a New Sequence

  1. Navigate to the Sequences section in your project.
  2. Click "New Sequence".
  3. Give your sequence a descriptive name (e.g., "Q1 Hook Test" or "Summer Sale Variants").

Step 2: Define Your Blocks

Add blocks to define your ad structure. Each block represents a section of the final video.

  1. Click "Add Block" to add a new block.
  2. Name the block (e.g., "Hook", "Body", "CTA").
  3. Reorder blocks by dragging them up or down.

Step 3: Assign Assets

For each block, assign the video clips you want to test:

  1. Click a block to expand it.
  2. Click "Add Assets" to browse your project's library.
  3. Select the clips you want to assign to this block.
  4. Repeat for each block.

The total number of permutations updates in real-time as you add assets.

Step 4: Configure Output

Before rendering, configure your output settings:

  • Aspect ratios — Select which ratios to render (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9). Each ratio multiplies your total output.
  • File naming — Use tokens like {hook}, {body}, {cta}, {ratio}, and {date} to name output files automatically.
  • Music tracks — Optionally add music track variants to multiply your test matrix further.
  • Text overlays — Add bulk text overlay variants that change across permutations.

Step 5: Render

Click "Render All" to generate every combination. Rendering happens in the cloud, so you can close your browser and come back later. See Rendering Ad Variations for details on the render process.
