Understanding Sequences
Learn what sequences are and how they power modular creative testing.
What Is a Sequence?
A sequence is a modular template for building video ads. It defines the structure of your ad (e.g., Hook → Body → CTA) and the assets assigned to each block. Sovran automatically generates every possible combination of those assets.
How Sequences Work
The math is simple: if you have 10 hooks, 10 bodies, and 3 CTAs, the sequence generates 10 × 10 × 3 = 300 unique video ads. Each variation is a different combination of clips stitched together in order.
Block Types
Blocks are fully customizable. You're not limited to Hook-Body-CTA. You can create any structure:
- Hook → Problem → Solution → CTA
- Hook → Testimonial → Offer → CTA
- Intro → Demo → Results → Social Proof → CTA
- Any custom structure that fits your creative strategy
Add as many blocks as you need and name them anything you want.
Why Modular?
Modular creative testing isolates which individual elements drive performance. Instead of testing entire ads against each other, you can identify that "Hook #7 + Body #3 + CTA #1" is your best combination — then double down on those winning elements.
