Setting Up Your First Project

What Is a Project?

A project is how you organize work in Sovran. Each project contains its own brief, research, assets, variations, finished videos, and publishing history. Most teams use one project for each brand or product.

Creating a Project

1. From the Dashboard, click the "New Project" button.
2. Enter a project name (e.g., your brand name or product line).
3. Click "Create" to finish.

Your new project opens with an empty Assets workspace. You can upload video clips or use the Create menu to start a workflow.

Project Structure

Each project has these main sections:

• Brief & Insights for the brief, Viral Research, performance data, and messaging.
• Assets for uploaded media, generated media, clips, and editable drafts.
• Variation Builder for reusable clip blocks and video combinations.
• Finished Videos for completed renders, downloads, and publishing.

Use the Create menu to open the video editor, Creative Copilot, Voiceover Remixes, clipping tools, AI generation, and other workflows.
