Video Ad Iterations
Video ad iterations turn one edited ad into more versions for your next test. Use Creative Copilot to explore different hooks, angles, and lengths, then review the results in the video editor. Keep working with footage you already have when your team needs another cut of the same message.

Inspect the source before you start
Open the source asset's Insights to check the useful moments and main message in the footage you want to reuse. These notes describe the source, so you can assess the material before asking for another cut. Choose footage that supports the product claim and gives the next version enough context to make sense on its own.

Give each version a clear purpose
Use the custom request in Creative Copilot to explain what you want to change about the selected video. Ask for a different opening, another angle, or a shorter cut with a clear reason for the change. A focused request helps you judge the next version against the creative question your team wants the ad to answer.

Keep your brief close to the work
Review the project's Brief & Insights before you ask Copilot to build on the source ad. Keep the product, audience, and message clear in the approved context that guides the work. This gives your team a shared reference for deciding whether a new angle fits the offer and whether the footage supports the words you want to use.

Refine the edit on the timeline
Open a saved video in the editor to change the details that need your judgment. Adjust clip timing and sound while you watch the ad in context before you render another cut. The editable timeline lets you keep a useful opening while changing the next shot or removing a pause that slows the message for the viewer.

Read the source words in context
Use the source asset's Transcript tab to inspect the spoken message before you remove or rearrange another passage. Read the opening and closing lines together, then check the surrounding words when a short phrase needs more context. This gives your team a direct way to assess the story when a longer source becomes a shorter video ad.

Check the completed ad before testing
Select a completed ad in Finished Videos and watch the full cut before you use it in a campaign. Check that the opening, main message, and final action still work together after the edit. Use the results from your own ad tests to decide which idea deserves another iteration and which version needs a different approach next.
